Pupil Voice in School

Pupil Voice
At Warkworth C of E Primary school we believe that pupil voice should be central to everything we do ! All of the results are analysed and they form an action plan for school.  Pupil voice takes a variety of forms it could be discussions with teachers as part of groups/ clubs, discussions with governors, a questionnaire or even just an informal chat in the corridor; we value everyone's opinions!
How do pupils have their say?
-All pupils from Year 1 - 6 take part in wellbeing questionnaires, this informs our PHSE planning and further focus work with pupils.
-All pupils from Year 1 - 6 take part in growth mindset questionnaires, this informs our focus for the year.
-School Council, Eco Committee, Sports Crew and the Collective Worship Crew ! All groups take minutes and have actions, including reporting to the whole school.
- From September 2018, pupils will now be in charge of fundraising too and so will plan, deliver and cost fundraising events.
-Safety questionnaires (groups of pupils, take part in discussions).
- Governor and SIP (School Improvement Partner) discussions with groups of pupils. Topics covered:     PE, pupil impact, SEND and Pupil Premium.
-Subject coordinators also lead pupil voice discussions with groups of pupils throughout school on a termly basis.
Other Areas
- Pupils have designed their playground markings ( Year 1 -5).
- Pupils contribute to decisions about what is purchased with fundraising money.
- Pupils decided that they would like a mini-golf course on site (summer 2019).
- Pupils have designed their trim trail and playground equipment.
- Year 5's designed and priced their 'new area', uniform, lockers, chill out shed, school trip and classroom.
