It was our very first visit to the Forest School Site. It was a big adventure.
We followed each other along the farm track.
It started raining on the way...but we weren't put off...we had great fun splashing in the puddles!
It was a long way...but we kept going.
Finn found a sign and read it to us all.
We found lots of mud near the farm.
We had great fun squelching in the mud with our friends.
We kept cleaning our wellies in the puddles.
Then we went back for more mud!
Who has the muddiest wellies?
We carried on the journey...singing songs along the way.
We enjoyed exploring in the forest.
We found huge tractor tyres.
We saw a little mouse hiding in the plastic tube around a tree.
We enjoyed warm porridge with milk and raisins around the fire-pit. We stayed safe and remembered the fire-pit safety rules.
We hunted for fir cones in the forest.
We used the fir cones to make little mice.
We listened to the traditional tale about the fir cone mice.
We used clover leaves to make the ears and string for the tails.
How many mice can you see?
Everyone made a house for their mouse! We used different things which we found in the forest.
We learned about animals which hibernate over winter.
We had our packed lunches around the fire-pit. We remembered to tidy up afterwards...we didn't want to leave any litter in the forest.
We played the hiding game in the forest '123 Where are you?'. It looked dark in the trees.
Who hid high up in the tree?
We had great fun playing on the tyres.
We climbed, balanced and jumped.
We found shelters in the trees.
On the way back we found the mud again!
We made sure our wellies were clean before we got back to school.
We climbed on the gate to get a good look at the cows at the bottom of the field.
